There are several benefits to using a Snowflake internal stage.

1. The storage is included in your bill from Snowflake, not the cloud provider.

2. The data is inside the Snowflake security boundary - less of an attack surface for hackers and other malicious actors.

3. Stages are a Snowflake object, so access is managed with RBAC rules. No more messing with IAM policies/roles to manage data access.
